Fremantle and Perth. |
Several people have told us that the best bit of Perth is Fremantle (and they have a point). One of the best bits of Fremantle is the Western Australian Maritime Museum. |
And one of the best bits of the museum is the one and half hour submarine tour (our guide had worked on a submarine of this class for more than ten years). |
If you think cooking in a campervan is restricted, try this. Below is the entire submarine kitchen, in it two cooks have to feed 70 people 24 hours a day for months on end without access to fresh fruit or vegetables. |
Other exhibits were more quirky. |
Highly recommended (by me, Michele and Les). |
Downtown Perth looks exactly like the postcards (at least when the sun shines). |
The goat curry was excellent at the King Street Cafe, as was the Patricia Piccinini exhibit at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. Both highly recommended. |
