Campervan.

My current campervan is a 2005 MAN Bimobil EX480 that I acquired in Germany in June 2008.

Known rather unimaginatively as "Man".

I have fitted it with 400 watts of solar panels and a Webasto DualTop diesel heating system (instead of the original Truma gas system).

So far I have taken it on a short test trip to Scotland and Iceland in 2008 and a much longer trip to Iceland in 2009. Man performed very well on both trips. I plan to take Man to Australia in 2010.

My previous campervan was a converted Mercedes Unimog U1300L truck. Before that I owned a Murvi Morello.

My recommended campervan conversion book is the excellent Travel Vans (by John Speed).

My last big campervan trip was to Central and South America in 2006/7, before that I went to Siberia and Mongolia in 2004, Iceland and Northern Europe in 2003 and China and Tibet in 2002.
